H&M Studio Collection has finally landed, and we've got our eye on that silk kimono...
H&M's Studio Collection has finally landed in stores for spring, and we couldn't be happier as it's possibly their coolest drop yet.
We're talking about those punchy prints, in the form of palazzo trousers and maxi dresses. Cover-ups that perfectly take on the tricky transitional spring weather (think suede bomber jackets and burgundy baseball jackets). Yep, this lot has totally won us over, and one item in particular has caught our eye; the silk kimono jacket.
Want to know why? Well, in trend terms, the jacket is big news for spring. Cropped and boxy, retro denim, long silky trench styles - every which shape and form came up in the SS15 collections this season, and the message was clear - make the jacket your new spring staple.
The style we're totally seduced by? It has to be the Kimono.
Luckily those clever folk over at H&M Studio have picked up on this emerging trend and reworked it as only they can, and the result is this oh-so-wearable fine stripe design.
Gone are those traditional oriental prints in billowing silhouettes, it's time to meet your new spring Kimono, and it's powder blue, super-sleek and belted at the waist.

Styling this silky number should be a breeze, too. For the weekend, throw on with some ankle-grazing slim-fit jeans and a pair of flats. Or, for the office, why not try teaming with some navy wide-leg culottes and heels?
Whichever way you choose to wear your new jacket, this shirt-style cover-up is guaranteed to breathe life into your old denim wares in an instant.
