Gwyneth Paltrow and her designer pal Stella McCartney have collaborated on a capsule range of smart wardrobe staples for Goop.
The duo have merged their passion for fashion to create a stylish collection of separates including black wool trousers, black jeans, a black blazer, a grey knit jumpsuit and Stella McCartney's Beckett handbag in three neutral hues that will be sold exclusively on Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop lifestyle website, reports WWD.
'We complement each other,' Paltrow told WWD of the collaboration.
'It was the right time. We're very close friends. We were bringing two worlds together and it was important not to force them... It makes perfect sense. Stella and I keep our [collaborations] to a minimum.'
McCartney, who referred to the designs as 'timeless' and 'staple pieces,' has previously collaborated with brands including adidas, H&M and Gap Kids, and Paltrow has sold exclusive ranges from brands MiH Jeans, Melissa Odabash and Chinti & Parker on Goop in the past.
'When one of your best friends is a very successful artist and you love and admire her work, you want to support it at all [costs],' said Paltrow.

'I have this start-up, Goop, and I have a strong idea of what I want it to be. I went to Stella and asked if she would collaborate with me. She never had done a collaboration like this before until I strong-armed her. She's the most insanely amazing designer.'
It's not all work and no play, though - the two stylish pals have been enjoying their summer downtime together, with Stella posting a photo of Gwyneth's enviable bikini body to her Instagram account in August, captioned:
'Sexy lady in Stella swimwear! Summer never stop! x Stella.'
Items in the capsule collection will retail from $795 and unfortunately for us, the collaboration will only be available in the US.
Sad face.
