Jessica Chastain's latest movie role just got that little bit more stylish...
Jessica Chastain and Giorgio Armani together more than hold their own on when it comes to red carpet dressing, so naturally, these two are a match made in heaven, which has lead to their latest collaboration.
Giorgio Armani has announced it's exclusive partnership with film director J.C. Chandor, to design and create the entire wardrobe for Chastain's latest leading role in upcoming film, A Most Violent Year. Excited much?
Due for release in January 2015, the film is set in 1981, in the depths of New York and focuses on one immigrant and his wife's (played by Chastain) struggle against political and industrial corruption.
Speaking about the exciting collaboration and reason behind it, Giorgio Armani explains "It was a high honor to collaborate with J.C. Chandor and Kasia Walicka-Maimone. This wonderful film project had great appeal to me because it is set in a time frame when women's clothing was being revolutionized. Minimalism was a shocking new concept. The power suit was just beginning to find its way into the wardrobes of the most confident women. Jessica Chastain is a very charming woman and I find that she always wears my clothes perfectly, with great, nonchalant ease”.
So what can we expect to see wardrobe-wise? The above movie still gives us a subtle hint of what's to come, and if that belted, heavily shoulder-padded coat and leather glove combo is anything to go by, it's going to be good.
So, if like us you love Jessica Chastain and Giorgio Armani (which we're betting you do), you'll want to pencil this into your 2015 diary, now.
