Jean Paul Gaultier's iconic bullet bra corset has been given an exciting new twist, thanks to Beth Ditto.
The Gossip front woman, who has quietly become a fashion week favourite (she walked for Marc Jacobs SS16 show most recently), has collaborated with the world-renowned designer to create a limited edition t-shirt (available up to a US size 30) to launch her self-title line of plus-sized clothing (available in full from February 2016).
The oversize, dress-length t-shirt features a trompe l'oeil print (front and back) of Gaultier's famous bullet bra corset.
'Jean Paul is the most generous, positive person, he truly loves women of all sizes and ages and knows how to make everyone feel gorgeous' said Ditto of their collaboration.
Jean Paul Gaultier has always celebrated women - and not just baby-faced, sample size ones. Historically his catwalk shows have always demonstrated his commitment to runway diversity - they are personality-packed performances that reflect the various realities of womanhood. It makes sense that he has teamed up with his friend to help her launch her vintage-inspired plus-size line.
'Big girls are beautiful and Beth is super beautiful! Long live the beauty with shapes, boobs and bottoms. This is a new concept, a loose fit corset. And Beth fits it perfectly' said Gaultier.
