The True Grit star makes her modelling debut with a campaign for Miu Miu
After a string of red carpet appearances wearing Miu Miu, modelling for the brand seemed like a logical next step for teen actress Hailee Steinfeld. Well, now we can all see the eagerly anticipated results, as the first campaign image has just hit the web.
The leaked pictures show the 14-year-old wearing a ladylike 1940s-style, yet somehow still age-appropriate, look for the Italian label’s autumn/winter 2011 campaign.
The image - shot by photographer Bruce Weber - shows Hailee wearing a conservative black swallow print top with a matching skirt, accessorised with an oversized clutch bag, chunky strappy sandals and retro shades, while standing by an American road sign.
The young star, who bagged an Oscar nomination for her role in True Grit, championed the brand and sister label Prada during 2011 awards season, wearing a series of cute looks that turned her into a red carpet favourite at the tender age of 14.
She follows in the fashionable footsteps of fellow actresses Kirsten Dunst, Lindsay Lohan, Katie Holmes, Vanessa Paradis and Maggie Gyllenhaal as the face of the brand.
