Marc Jacobs is known for his quirky ad campaigns- think Posh in a carrier bag – so we couldn't wait to see what the designer had in store for Daisy Lowe, when it was announced that she was the new face of his Marc by Marc Jacobs line.
The spring/summer '09 campaign featuring the Brit It-model has finally surfaced, and shows Lowe smouldering as she lies across a white linen-clad bed. Wrapped in a sheet, you could note that one vital element seems to be missing – where are the clothes?
The barest hint of a white dress can be deciphered in the shot by long-term Jacobs's collaborator, Juergen Teller, but this is an image that is clearly all about the seductive appeal that Lowe put to good use while modelling for Agent Provocateur.
The campaign is Lowe's biggest to date, and sees her join the ranks of Jacobs's muses, including Victoria Beckham, Sofia Coppola and singer M.I.A. The new gig has also helped her land a prestigious list of spring/summer contracts, including campaigns for DKNY and Pringle of Scotland.
