R&B singer Ciara married her NFL player fiancé Russell Wilson yesterday in a fairytale wedding ceremony in Cheshire.
Yes, the two US stars chose Peckforton Castle in the UK as the venue for their big day, flying famous friends and family members into Liverpool especially for the occasion. They even had their rehearsal dinner at Stanley's Bar and Grill at the Titanic Hotel on the docks.
The official wedding photos, which were released in the days following the wedding, show the couple's venue in full - with many commenting on the slightly brilliant Friends-style sofa arrangements that the couple's photographer set up.
But perhaps the most important detail (for fashion lovers, anyway) is the dress. Ciara and her new husband have so far released just one Instagram picture from their special day, revealing that the singer’s gown was a custom-made Roberto Cavalli number.
Designed exclusively by Cavalli’s creative director Peter Dundas (pictured with the singer above) the corset front dress is framed by its sheer lace bell sleeves. It’s a very romantic silhouette with a little bit of a boho twist – exactly the kind of thing that has become Dundas’ signature.
'Ciara is a dear friend so making her dress was a labour of love,' Peter told E! News, whilst revealing his design sketch. Can you spot the couple's initials embroidered in the lace at the back?

'I just want to take this moment to say THANK YOU for being a part making this day perfect for me, and bringing my dream dress to life!!' Ciara wrote on Instagram. 'All the, face time calls, meetings, sketches, multiple fittings from NY to Milan were worth it! You are the sweetest soul, and one of the most talented human beings I know. Love you.'
Ciara has a long-standing relationship with the Cavalli label, having previously starred in the brand’s AW15 advertising campaign and worked several of their frothy hippie dresses on the red carpet. We can see why the designer was a natural choice for her big day.
Kelly Rowland and LaLa Anthony were two of Ciara’s eight bridesmaids, all of whom wore black gowns with different silhouettes by Michael Costello, completed with a statement choker. Serena Williams was reportedly supposed to join the bridal party too, but had to pull out at the last minute due to Wimbledon commitments.
The couple married in front of 100 guests in total, including Jennifer Hudson who wore this hot peach Christian Siriano gown. Now that's what to wear to a summer wedding.
