Christian Louboutin is expanding his Nudes For All collection with a new range of pointy ballet flats to suit every skin tone.
Because all nudes are different, fact, the £450 shoes come in seven different shades, with names including ‘porcelain’ and ‘deep chocolate’ to help every woman meet her fashion match – not just Kate Middleton.
The new campaign imagery is simply stunning, shot by photography duo Sofia and Mauro, and featuring ballet dancers modelling the collection.
Louboutin first solved the nude debate when he launched his signature heeled court shoe The Pigalle, in the new colour-ways back in 2013. Praised for diversifying the footwear industry, and challenging what the fashion industry always labeled as a ‘nude’ colour, he started with five colour tones, before adding two more to ensure that there really was something for every woman. The Senora, a T-strap style of peep-toe heels, also joins the line-up.
Fans of the brand have gone mad for the launch on social media with dozens praising the designer for spotting a gap in the market.
‘This is so good, actual nudes, for all skin tones,’ wrote @SartoriallySvvy on Twitter.

'I've never really been a Louboutin fan but I kind of love him for making his line of nude shoes in seven different shades,' @historyinpearls added.
'Louboutin – you guys are the best and the only luxury brand that does this,’ wrote another user. ‘They may "only" be shoes but you’re making a difference by designing and retailing inclusiveness and diversity.'
‘A classically Parisian silhouette, the delicate, pointed-toe Solasofia ballerina flat joins Pigalle Follies 100 and Senora 100 [two heeled court shoe styles] in seven versatile shades of nude,’ the brand said of the launch.
As if we needed another excuse to treat ourselves to some Louboutins this weekend…...
