Celebrations are in order for Burberry's Christopher Bailey as he's enrolled into the fashion Hall of Fame...
Christopher Bailey celebrated another fashion triumph last night as he was awarded the Hall of Fame accolade at the annual WGSN Global Fashion Awards.
It’s been an incredible year for Burberry’s main man, as he recently announced his new chief executive officer role at the British brand, replacing Angela Ahrendts following her exciting move to Apple.
Continuing on in his current role as chief creative officer at Burberry simultaneously, Christopher has certainly earned the prestigious title in the last 12 months alone. Previous winners have included photographer Rankin and Biba founder Barbara Hulanicki.
The Yorkshire-born designer attended the Victoria and Albert Museum event alongside Amber Le Bon, Emilia Fox and host Cat Deeley at the glamorous bash.
The Hall of Fame honour is the ceremony’s top award, given to an individual who has “furthered the interests of the industry, broken new ground and inspired the world”, read a WGSN statement this morning.
Erdem, Acne, Oliver Spencer and Nicholas Kirkwood were among the other designers to win big, while Topshop also scooped the gong for Best Multi-Channel Retailer at the respected industry awards.
