The Met Gala is one of the most exciting events in the showbiz and fashion calendar, and yesterday’s gala did not disappoint. The theme was Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology (catchy), and the attendees embraced the theme and totally wowed.
But while everyone dazzles on the red carpet under the photographers flashbulbs, what goes on behind the scenes?
We stalked the guests’ social networks to watch them getting ready and see what they get up to inside the ball, and the biggest eye opener was seeing Beyonce and Rita Ora in a loved up selfie.
After a week of fans wondering whether Rita was ‘Becky with the good hair’ on Beyonce’s album, Lemonade, Rita crushed all rumours by snapchatting a picture of her and Bey with the caption ‘Family.’
However, she had done little to quell the rumours days ago when she was photographed wearing an outfit similar to Bey’s, snapchatted herself wearing a bra with lemons on it, and even Instagrammed a film poster about a woman whose husband was having an affair. In fact rumours became so rife that Jay Z had cheated on Beyonce with Rita that the singer had to take to Twitter to deny the stories.
‘I never usually address tabloid gossip but let me be clear, these rumours are false,’ she posted.

‘I have nothing but the utmost respect for Beyonce. Let’s continue enjoying Lemonade.’
It wasn’t just Rita that Beyonce was spotted hanging out with, Madonna also shared a picture of them hanging out with her friend on her Instagram, and captioned it ‘Three queens.’
