Sophie Webster has launched a new Barbie shoe collection, and here's everything we know so far...
Ever wondered what it would feel like to walk in Barbie's shoes? Wonder no more, for shoe designer extraordinaire Sophia Webster has collaborated with Barbie to create a capsule collection, and it's every bit as cool as you would imagine.
Featuring six styles for adults, and three for children, the new collection is due to hit stores this Thursday, with a short film in the making, set for release later this month.
Said to be inspired by Barbie's new found love of flat shoes (yes, those savvy Mattel desigers have traded in her signature wedge trainers in favour of some fancy flats), Sophia Webster has included two do-it-all styles that will amp up your weekend wardrobe in a flash, alongside a fair few pairs of party heels, too.
Speaking of the inspiration behind the new range, Sophia Webster explains 'Creating a shoe collection for Barbie has always been my dream project, but getting to be a part of her embracing flats for the first time made it extra exciting, and deeply personal. I love that this concept strikes a balance between dreams and reality - the idea of getting Barbie in some hi-tops and setting her loose in East London instantly appealed'.
If you're not a fan of Barbie's sassy style, look away now, for the collection is essentially a celebration of all things pink. Expect to see metallics, plenty of sparkle and those cool Sophia Webster logos among the new designs.
Price-wise, the sleek speech bubble sling backs can be all yours for £395, and the trainers start at £320. The kids collection is a little more accessible, with prices around the £150 mark.

And this collaboration wouldn't be complete without a doll. Dedicated Sophia Webster fans can even get their hands on a limited edition design, that sees Barbie in a pair of glitter high top trainers.
Fancy getting your hands on a pair? The first drop will hit Selfridges London on Thursday 27th August, and the full collection will be available at Sophia Webster later this month.
