Have you got what it takes to be the next ASOS Curve model?
Have you got what it takes to be the next ASOS Curve model?
Models 1 and ASOS have launched an Instagram competition to find the next Curve superstar for the brand's plus size range. The competition calls for women aged 17-28, who are size 18+ to enter by posting a selfie using the hashtag #MakeMeACurveModel and tagging @Asos.
The winner will receive a contract with Models 1 Curve division, a £500 ASOS voucher and a day in the ASOS studios shooting the new Asos Curve collection.
Last year they launched a similar competition, and the winner, Simone Charles, has seen nothing but success, bagging the luxury denim line Beauty in Curves campaign and a cover shoot with plus size mag SLiNK. This year, the contest has almost 5,000 entries already.
'There has never been a better time to be a curvy model. Demand for our curvy girls just keeps growing and it is not just the size 12, 14 and 16s that in are in demand, brands are looking for size 18 and 20 curves,’ a Models 1 spokesperson told the Daily Mail.
Models 1 looks after Alessandra Ambrosio, Coco Rocha and Twiggy so we have faith that this year’s winner, announced in June, will be in good model company.
ASOS and Models 1 are looking for natural beauty, so entrants are encouraged not to wear too much make-up, or use any filters. And definitely DON’T try your hand at Photoshop. The competition ends 9 June.
