To celebrate the release of The Iron Lady, British handbag designer Anya Hindmarch has dressed up the mannequins in her Pont Street store window as Margaret Thatcher.
The four Thatcher-esque models are dressed in cobalt blue, structured tweed, pearls and even a political badge. The clothes are a mixture of Marks & Spencer and Aquascutum. Each mannequin has been crowned with a signature bouffant wig to pay homage to Maggie's classic 'do and every 'Iron Lady' proudly holds one of Hindmarch’s bespoke Ebury bags - the ex- Prime Minister's favourite style.

'The cleverest thing about Thatcher’s image was how her clothes never detracted from her character,' says Anya Hindmarch. 'That was quite a feat, I suspect, to look good and still not be talked about for your clothes.'

Hindmarch collaborated with costume designer Tamar Zaig to create the eye-catching windows. Zaig famously created the looks for the Thatcher puppet on the satirical television show Spitting Image.
