Alexa Chung gives good summer style inspo, and it's easier to achieve than you think...
It's a tricky trend to master, but Alexa Chung has managed to make her floaty floral frock look anything but girly, with some clever summer layering.
Think this look is a no-go for those without a celebrity budget? Think again.
The style savvy 31-year-old is regularly giving us top street style inspo, but this look is easier to recreate than you think, and here's how to do it, without breaking the bank.
Take one printed dress, preferably floral (Zara has your purse-friendly option), an old navy knit (Topshop), some beaten-up Converse high tops and you're pretty much there.
To bring this off-duty look bang-up-to-date, be sure to snap-up a suede top handle tote (Uterque), that will not only inject a shot of cool to your current summer wares, but will liven-up your workwear wardrobe too.
Be sure to trial the lime green nail trend, perfectly executed by Alexa here, to give your outfit a pop of colour.

We're loving the way Miss Chung has thrown her knit over said slip dress, but should you want to maximise your new printed dress, we think that navy knit would look equally cool worn underneath, too.
There is nothing here we don't love.
