Alexa Chung Gives Us All A Lesson In Dressing Up Denim
If you were ever in doubt about wearing all white, Alexa Chung confirms it's actually quite cool.
If you were ever in doubt about wearing all white, Alexa Chung confirms it's actually quite cool.
Just when we thought Alexa Chung had exhausted her denim collection styling-wise, she pulls this look out the bag.
Stepping out to showcase the newly launched Alexa Chung for AG Jeans range in New York, Miss Chung gave us all a lesson in how to work the trickiest denim trend there is - white jeans. Alexa's solution? Top-to-toe white. And it totally works. Here's why.
First, that model bod makes anything look good. This we know. However, this outfit is in serious danger of looking ultra-preppy, but naturally, Alexa's sartorial skills has avoided any such association.
How? That messy bob probably has something to do with the success of this off-duty (ish) outfit. Along with the bold red lip and barely-there make-up. Making it clear that this look is anything but Sloaney.
We're awarding Alexa top marks for those monochrome pointed Tabitha Simmons 'Alexa' flats, named of course, after the lady herself. And could she be single handedly bringing back the popped collar? Let's hope not, as we're not entirely convinced on that one.
This is not the first time Alexa has wowed us with her denim styling skills this week. We also learnt that dungarees don't have to be casual. Just add a high-neck, peasant-style blouse and a pair of well-worn Converse. Who knew?
