Alexa Chung and her stylish friends help launch Louis Vuitton's new store in China

The British TV host joined the likes of Clemence Poesy and Poppy Delevingne at the Louis Vuitton Maison opening in Shanghai

Alexa Chung put on her party best last night to join a clutch of stylish friends and fashion industry movers and shakers at the launch of Louis Vuitton’s new store in China.

The British TV host, whose father is Chinese, looked her usual impeccably dressed self in a black turtle-neck jumper and a green animal print skirt (which showed off those Bambi-esque legs!) from the pre-autumn/winter 2012 Louis Vuitton collection. Alexa accessorised with a classic LV monogram clutch and bejewelled pumps, and completed her party look with a sweet middle parted fringe and a deep scarlet lip.

British model Poppy Delevingne and French silver screen star Clemence Poesy looked equally as stylish at the Shanghai bash wearing a sugary pink dress and a lace coat ensemble, both from the Louis Vuitton cruise 2013 line, respectively.

Louis Vuitton creative director, Marc Jacobs, was in attendance too, as were a whole host of Chinese stars, including actresses Fan Bingbing, Gong Li and Huo Siyan, who all came out to celebrate the Maison opening in Shanghai’s Plaza 66.

Visitors to the store can expect all the usual stylish Louis Vuitton shop fittings, but can browse the luxury rails surrounded by specially commissioned works by contemporary Chinese artists, sculptures by famed international names and travel-themed photos that adorn the service desk walls.

If only we had a trip to Shanghai booked!
