These five mega-designers are all launching shoe collections for SS16…
It's Shoes First month at Marie Claire HQ and, in case you needed any further convincing that SS16 is the best season ever to shop for shoes, these FIVE mega-designers are all launching their debut shoe collections right now…
Peter Pilotto If you love… Christopher De Vos and Peter Pilotto’s kaleidoscopic dress prints, then marvel as they come alive in mosaics of suede, snakeskin and metallic leather. The four styles and three colourways debuted on the LFW catwalk, shooting them straight to the top of every key buyer’s wish list.
Mansur Gavriel If you love… Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel’s glossy leather IT bags, then their all-new, all-mule collection is sure to appeal. Hotfoot it if you want in, though, as their buckets and backpacks sold out in a fashion flash when they launched in 2012.
Marchesa If you love… the wow-dress makers’ flowery tulle confections, then you’ll fall head over heels for their fairytale footwear. Designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig are thinking sky high and sparkly, decorating their intricate cage heels with rococo embellishments aplenty.
Suno If you love… Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty’s modern art prints, then you’ll adore their sculptural take on shoes. Suno’s low block sandals and graphic skates were the toast of NYFW thanks to their distinct geometric uppers and standout colour combos.
The Row If you love… Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen’s cool, minimalist knits, then you’ll swoon for their conceptual take on mules and Mary Janes. As ever for the detail-obsessed sisters, luxury is everything – think mother of pearl-effect heels and seam-free linings.
