5 Ways To Wear Leopard Print
Brave the bold print this summer
Brave the bold print this summer
'As far as I am concerned, Leopard is a neutral' – we couldn't agree more with J.Crew's CEO Jenna Lyons. This wild print is nothing to be afraid of and, done right, looks super-chic! It is daring and it is loud, but it can also play a key role in 'popping' an outfit and making you stand out. As a devoted fan, I encourage the notion of double leopard and believe you can add a hint of leopard to your look every day. Here are my 5 ways to wear leopard print and incorporate it into your SS15 wardrobe.
Neon Leopard Print This season, leopard print appears in neon colourways across the full rainbow spectrum. The key to make this work is to ensure your prints are all in the same tone, and don't clash. This Matthew Williamson dress is a great investment piece if you are after a bright summer leopard print – just get the balance right.
Incorporating the print into your day-to-day look works best if you mix it with neutrals or muted tones. Work this dress in the day with a gold gladiator sandal and a white denim jacket to let the cobalt blue stand out. In the evening, pop on a pair of muted pointy heels.
Workwear Leopard Print Neon and leopard can be quite a daring look! If you want to wear print for work, but stay understated, then SuperTrash has the perfect shirt for you. Both affordable and chic, this light pink and black number is an office-friendly option. Wear with this seaon's classic 70s flare denim hit. You can achieve a great leopard style with this tailored shirt and still remain ultra-chic and work-friendly.
Bright Leopard Print A coloured leopard print is great for summer evenings. This look by Red Valentino is polished perfection. To make a striking statement, focus on one item of leopard print to keep the balance right. A neutral blouse mixed with bright leopard shorts is strong but not overpowering. Leopard also works well with a stripe – 5 ways to wear leopard print? make that six! The stripes streamlined the leopard and are flattering. Try adding a striped top to leopard trousers.
Double Leopard Print Move over double denim, here comes double leopard! This works super-well if you keep to the same tone and fabric, as seen at leopard-print king Roberto Cavalli. This is most definitely for the brave and the leopard devotee. If you're feeling bold, it's a day-to-night look to kill. For the more faint-hearted, if a leopard top and bottom is too much, you can still work the doble look. Simply keep your outfit understated (e.g. a white tee and denim jeans) and add a leopard coat and leopard pumps!

Leopard Accessories There are so many great leopard accessories for SS15. If you prefer to work a quite minimal or monochrome look, don't be afraid to buy a leopard print shoe to add a statement and nod to the trend. This pair from Senso is perfect, a great summer staple and can be worn in the office and for nights out. They have a great leopard tone and the lace-up detail is super-chic! For summer evenings, wear with a white broderie anglaise skirt and top, or for the office, wear with black cullotes and a neutral blouse!
