A new viral craze asks women to post the colour of their bra to help breast cancer
Who started it, no one knows, but women on the social networking site Facebook are reacting in their droves by posting the colour of their bras.
The question is circulating across the site, asking women to write the colour of the bra they are wearing that day in their status update to raise awareness for breast cancer.
The viral craze is getting untold attention as more and more women join the group by visiting mumslikeme.com.
Breast cancer advocacy groups like the Susan G. Komen Foundation support the online trend.
‘We definitely endorse any programme or any campaign that gets people talking about breast cancer awareness and increases that awareness especially among the young population.'
Understandably, questions are being asked on whether posting the colour of your bra can really raise cancer awareness. Who knows. But social media analyst Mekahlo Medina says it certainly underlines the power of social networking.
