Who would have thought Gary Barlow had a bad bone in his body? Well, if the latest mass culling at the X Factor boot camp is anything to go by, this year's contest could be full of surprises.
Even before the contestants had a chance to showcase their talent, new judgesBarlow, Tulisa Contostavlos, Kelly Rowland and Louis Walsh gave a number of hopefuls the boot on the spot.
Gathering the contestants on the hotel lawn of the boot camp head-quarters, former Destiny's Child Kelly stated: 'While you were partying last night, we were looking at your audition tapes, We only want to work with the people who can go all the way.'
Take That's Gary added: 'We don't believe everyone standing in front of us has the potential to make it all the way in this competition. Some of you are going home now.'
Tulisa warned the hopefuls: 'This is a tough industry and we've got to believe in you.'
A mixture of across the contestant groups were then eliminated out of the competition and missed out on a week of Boot Camp trials.
