It was that boot-camp episode we all look forward to in the run-up to the live shows on Saturday's X Factor. The final eight of each group were chosen and the judges were nominated their categories.

Kelly Rowland was ecstatic as she was awarded the girl hopefuls while Take That’s Gary Barlow was happy he landed the boys category, both tipped to have the finalists in.
There were no surprises Louis Walsh was given the least popular over 25’s group, though with wild singers Kitty and Goldie, who both made spectacles of themselves on the Wembley Arena stage, involving lights and fans, perhaps the oldies may not be as tame as other years.
When host Dermot O’Leary asked Louis if he thought he could win and break his six-year losing streak, he said, ‘I’m going to work very hard.’
Tulisa was told she’d be mentoring the groups, which she said she wanted most, even though no other judge did, with Gary saying he would leave the show if he was given the groups.

The N Dubs singer, Tulisa, said, ‘Guys you can’t even imagine how emotional I’m feeling right now, from now on, honestly, I’m here one-hundred percent for all of you from the bottom of my heart.’
Kelly Rowland was also there with open arms, telling her girls they could ask her anything, night or day, even if it meant waking her up. The Destiny’s Child singer, added, ‘We got to win this. Confidence is key. You got to communicate with me, I really mean that.’
After telling the girls they were going to her home in Miami for the next stage of the competition, she added, ‘Oh boy we are going to have some fun.’
The eight boys were equally excited when they found out they were jetting off to Gary’s place in LA, while Tulisa’s groups were told they would be going to her home in Greece.
In a shock change from his usual Ireland location, Louis told his final eight they would be making a trip to his home in Barcelona.
We can not wait to see who makes the top four from each group in next weekend's double-bill episodes. Our bets are on the cute Janet Devlin and ladies-man Frankie Cocozza, and with a name like that, he just has to be a pop-star.
