The stylish Black Eyed Pea first met Mrs C’s teen protégée when he helped out during judges houses, and described her as 'a ball of energy', revealing they hit it off straight away.
And that’s not all. The star’s now desperate to sign the singing sensation, and would even like to duet with her, like he's done with Cheryl.
‘I really liked that girl Cher. I would sign her - tomorrow, today, yesterday,’ he told X Magazine. ‘I wanted to sign her as I left the house.’
Spilling all on what he has planned for her first record, should he get to produce it, he revealed he’d make it ‘edgy hip-hop’, with ‘lots of attitude’.

‘I'd make edgy hip-hop with a bit of pop and electro thrown in. It would have to have lots of attitude but be melodic at the same time,’ he added.
But the US star also spoke out about his concerns for her career, and how she’ll need careful management to produce the best music.
‘Cher's like a ball of energy and I don't think she knows what to do with it,’ he said.
‘My fear is if she doesn't hook up with the right creative people, she's going to end up being too bubblegum.’
But if he wants to sign Cher - and that’s supposing she doesn’t win the X Factor - the Black Eyed Pea will have to act fast.
UK star Tinchy Strider, and American mogul Jay-Z are both said to have expressed an interest in signing the singer.
Do you think Cher Lloyd will go on to become a star? Or are there better contestants in the competition? Let us know in the box below.
