Angelina Jolie is said to be the talk of Hollywood today, as producers line her up for a lead in a Nigella Lawson biopic.
New reports suggest the Oscar-winning actress is the favourite to portray the TV chef in a new movie about her life. In particular, focusing on her recently publicised troubles.
According to The Sun, Nigella’s turbulent relationship with Charles Saatchi and the court case involving her former personal assistants, sisters Francesca and Elizabetta Grillo, are set to become the subject of a new film.
‘Ange had planned to take a lot of time off next year but this role is very tempting,’ a source told the newspaper. ‘She has been gripped like everyone else by all the drama surrounding Nigella these past few months and thinks she is a remarkable woman.’
‘The story has got it all – and she’s as intrigued as anyone else by it,’ the source adds.
While it may seem a little soon to be crafting Nigella’s troubles into a Hollywood blockbuster, the new film is already marked for release next year.

If Angelina was to take on the unexpected role, she’d be fresh from her directing stint in Australia, as she works on retelling the heartfelt story of Louis Zamperini in Unbroken. Given her history of fierce characters, she may just be the perfect fit for the film.
Meanwhile, Nigella is gearing up for her return to the spotlight with a brand new cooking show, The Taste, which will air on both sides of the Atlantic.
Do you think Angelina Jolie is the right choice for a Nigella Lawson biopic?
