We can't wait to see this...
Of all the books that have been made into films, few have captured our attention so much as the dark thriller Gone Girl - and the latest movie inspired by a Gillian Flynn novel, Dark Places, looks like it's going to be equally captivating. Luckily, we have the exclusive trailer for you to feast your eyes on.
The plot focuses on the life of Libby Day, who thinks she has left behind her nightmare childhood in a small, squalid hometown - until the past, and every decision she's ever made, comes back to haunt her.
In the movie, Libby survives the killing of her family as a child - and is forced to confront the events and memories of that day by a secret society obsessed with solving notorious crimes.
We don't want to give too much away - as we all know from Gone Girl, with Flynn it's all in the unexpected plot twists - but suffice it to say that reality and fiction become harder to distinguish between, and it will definitely keep you on your toes.
Directed by Gilles Paquet-Brenner, the man behind Sarah's Key, Walled In and Pretty Things, and featuring Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult, Chloe Grace Moretz, Christina Hendricks, Tye Sheridan and Corey Stoll as part of the star-studded cast. the movie is set to be a smash hit - and there are only a few more months to go till we can see the whole thing for real.
