Kate Middleton's baby has got the whole world waiting anxiously for its arrival.
The royal heir isn't due for another ten days or so, but press and TV crews are already camped outside the Lindo Wing of St Mary's Hospital in Paddington waiting for news or a glimpse of pre- or post-baby Kate.
While we wait (impatiently) for the arrival of the little one, we've dug out TV footage from the week of Prince William's birth back in 1982 – and the similarities are fascinating. The Amercian news report on ABC News sees a reporter announce the name of Prince William – which was only revealed a week after his birth.
The reporter then goes on to discuss the betting odds on the name, and includes footage of Princess Diana and Prince Charles emerging from the hospital with their newborn son for the very first time.
Princess Diana wears a typical eighties-style maternity smock dress and hospital stockings, while Prince Charles looked super-smart in a navy blue suit.
Kate Middleton will give birth to her baby in the very same hospital – and the very same wing – that Princess Diana welcomed William in back in 1982.

A medical document confirming the sex and the healthy arrival of the baby will be driven by car to Buckingham Palace where it will be placed on a golden easel for the public to see.
Kate and Prince William will then pose for photographs outside the Lindo Wing with the royal baby.
We can't wait! Check out the footage below...
