Robert Pattinson may walk the red carpet with confidence and diffuse questions about his relationship with Kristen Stewart when appearing on TV, but even he has his wobbly moments.

In our exclusive interview with the star on the set of Cosmopolis, he opened up about his insecurities about getting a part in the film.

Robert said: ‘I’d read the [Cosmopolis] script a year before I think and though it was amazing.

‘[I was] at a point when I was doubting myself quite a lot, I thought I’d never get offered [a part] like that, it kind of came out of nowhere and I was amazed.’

His self-doubt came from competition in the industry and not feeling old enough for a role like this, he added: ‘Someone sent [the script] to me for interest and I was interested but other people were and I thought I was too young and I like all of David’s [Cronenberg, the director] films, it was a no brainer to do it.’

And it’s a no brainer to check out his hotness in it either.

Cosmopolis is released on DVD and Blu-Ray on 12 November
