Lindsay Lohan, who plays the actress in the movie biopic discusses the parallels in their lives

Lindsay Lohan’s turbulent life, be it brushes with the law or visits to hospital, has her hitting the headlines regularly - and as a result the paparazzi document almost every move she makes.

And it’s this invasion of her daily life that has actually helped the former child star relate to Elizabeth Taylor who she portrays in the upcoming movie, Liz & Dick.

In a new behind-the-scenes video, Lindsay says: 'I’m a huge Elizabeth Taylor fan, and I relate to her on a lot of levels — living in the public eye, dealing with the stress of what other people say, whether it’s true or not.'

And it appears their shared experience of celebrity has helped Lindsay to bond with the late screen siren.

‘I personally understand Liz, because you’re living your life for everyone to see, and people are growing with you,' she added.

But Lindsay is under no illusion, explaining that life in the public eye can be tough. ‘You get to a point where you become numb to it, and you just live your life the that way you feel you need to live it,' she said.

While Lindsay draws parallels between herself and Liz, the physical resemblance on screen is impressive with Grant Bowler who plays Richard Burton saying: 'She’s pretty much Elizabeth Taylor reincarnated.’

We just hope Lindsay doesn’t have to go through the emotional turmoil of eight marriages like Liz did!
