Beyonce’s baby sister takes on some bootylicious dance moves in her latest onscreen offering
Beyonce’s younger sister, Solange Knowles, hasn’t made a habit out of capitalising on her family’s most famous member, but when you’ve a superstar sibling you’re clearly going to be influenced by their (dance) moves.
For Solange’s latest musical venture, Losing You, she filmed a simple but stylish video in Cape Town, South Africa, that couldn’t be further from Beyonce’s glossy, big budget, videos or her distinctive sound.

Saying that, elements of her sister’s persona do creep into the video particularly with the dance moves. As Solange bops in a checked trouser suit she can’t help but be compared to Beyonce, what with those powerful arm movements and impressive hip shaking.
But perhaps the most prominent part of the video is when the younger of the Knowles sisters puts her hand on her hip, pushes her back away from the camera, but stares straight at it. Here she oozes the same attitude we applaud Beyonce for.
The video was crafted by the creative talents of Devonte Hynes who also works with Florence + the Machine and Artic Monkeys.

It’s certainly a case of sisters doing it for themselves…
