The darling designer stepped out in Paris wearing a chic, winter-ready ensemble

Victoria Beckham doesn't follow the fashion rules - she makes them herself.

After her charity trip to South Africa, the designer headed to Paris, where she hosted an event for her collection at French department store Printemps.

Clearly the chilly Parisian clime was a drastic change from sunny Cape Town, and VB, 39, made sure to dress for the weather.

She stepped out Friday wearing woolly grey tights underneath a black midi skirt and a matching knit top. But the real focus was on her footwear. The singer-turned-designer rocked dainty, open-toed sandals with her thick tights.

Fashion no-no? Maybe if you follow an outdated rulebook.

We'll chalk this one up as another fashion high-note for VB.
