Remember when the Spice Girls’ old manager revealed a secret about Victoria Beckham...?
Well, duh.
Well, duh.
When we think of Victoria Beckham in the Spice Girls we think LBDs, a perfectly symmetrical bob, and managing to pout and throw the death stare simultaneously. In fact it’s quite a feat to master such misery and wave peace signs all at once.
So yeah, she never looked like she was having the time of her life while spicing up our lives, and now ex manager Simon Fuller has confirmed exactly that, revealing that she never felt ‘comfortable.’
‘Even in the Spice Girls - it was great fun, she was in the world's biggest group for two or three years - but she didn't feel comfortable,’ he told the audience at the Business Innovation Awards.
'She could sing pretty well, she could dance pretty well, but she always felt uncomfortable.' We think that part of that statement is a little too kind.
Simon then went on to remind us of Victoria’s solo days (who can forget Out Of Your Mind?), and how even when flying solo, Victoria felt unhappy.
'When the Spice Girls broke up, she had a few songs as a solo artist but she wasn't happy and she said to me "Simon, I just don't want to do music any more. What do you think I should do?"’ he said.

Then Simon had a vision…
'It was one of those things that you get this kind of clarity of vision. I've known Victoria since she was 18 and her passion in life was always clothes.
‘She was called Posh Spice because she always wore the best dresses and she knew everything about clothes. I said, "You should be in fashion. You should be a designer".'
We feel like there should be a ‘eureka!’ on the end of that.
And that’s how Victoria Beckham, designer extraordinaire was borne (although we live in hope that the lyrical VB will make a reappearance. Here's hoping...).
