The poorly new mum is reportedly suffering crippling back pain after slipping a disc

Poorly new mum Victoria Beckham is 'too sick' to hold baby Harper Seven, according to new reports, which claim the fashionista has suffered a slipped disc since giving birth to her fourth child.

The starlet hasn’t been seen in public since little Harper arrived last month, prompting rumours she wanted to stay away from snappers while she gets her super-svelte figure back in shape.

But instead, it’s thought Victoria has been suffering from crippling back pain, leaving her struggling to hold her first baby girl.

‘Rumours Victoria has been frantically exercising and trying to lose her baby weight could not be further from the truth,’ one insider told the Mirror.

‘The cruel reality is she was suffering with a bad back throughout her pregnancy, and then something untoward happened during the C-section, badly aggravating it.

‘She has had an X-ray which showed she has slipped a disc in her lower back. Victoria is in a lot of pain and even struggling to hold Harper.’

It’s thought worried David has enlisted the help of an army of chiropractors and physiotherapists, to help treat his wife’s back pain. And friends say the new mum is 'trying to remain upbeat'.

‘She is really down about the whole thing as she just wants to be able to play with her daughter like any new mum,’ the source continued.

‘When she goes to breastfeed, David has to basically prop-up the baby. But Victoria is trying to remain upbeat because she really does feel so blessed with the birth of her beautiful daughter.

‘She is determined not to let this injury overshadow the happiness surrounding Harper’s arrival.’
