Victoria Beckham and David Welcomed To Paris By Nicholas Sarkozy And Carla Bruni

Victoria Beckham was given a warm reception from the former French president and his model wife

Victoria Beckham has been making regular trips to Paris following husband David’s move to French football club Paris Saint Germain. And it appears the power couple’s presence there has been greatly received with former French president Nicholas Sarkozy and his wife Carla Bruni welcoming them.

According to French news magazine, Valeurs Actuelles Sarkozy and his model wife were so keen to speak to Victoria Beckham and David that they ‘corned’ the couple before the club’s match against Marseille last week.

Rather than highlight Victoria Beckham’s great fashion skill pitch side, Sarkozy understandably focused on the football allegedly telling David: ‘You know, I'm 58 years old and I never dreamed I would see Beckham playing alongside Ibrahimovic in the French league.' This comment, refers to the Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic who joined the club last summer.

After the meeting Victoria Beckham joined David back at the luxurious Le Bristol hotel that is widely believed to be the footballer’s new French residence. He’s reportedly staying in the hotel’s Imperial Suite that costs a whopping £15,000 a night. With their millions though that daily spending hardly makes a dent in the Beckham’s bank balance.
