Edward Cullen fans, listen up! The Twilight Saga may be fiction, but it seems Robert Pattinson could be much closer to his on-screen alter-ego than we first thought, after genealogists have discovered a link with the real Dracula.

As Fans' excitement hit fever pitch at the Eclipse premiere in Los Angeles last night, gene experts revealed Rob's family can be traced back to Vlad the Impaler (real name: Vlad III Dracula).
It's thought that Vlad - who inspired Bram Stoker's Dracula novel - is Rob's distant uncle.
And that's not all. Gene geeks have also discovered R-Patz could even share links to royalty, with Princes William and Harry as distant cousins.
‘Royalty and vampires lurk in Pattinson's life, making his story just as supernatural as the one he plays on screen,' said Ancestry expert Anastasia Tyler.
