Twilight’s Nikki Reed: The pressure on the cast is overwhelming

EXCLUSIVE! Twilight star Nikki Reed speaks to Marie Claire about the downside of the vampire films

Twilight breaking Dawn Part 2’s release is now just days away, and as Twihards prepare to say their goodbyes to the film franchise so do the cast. And with such high expectations from fans, Nikki Reed revealed to Marie Claire that it can all get a bit too much.

Nikki told us: ‘The best way to get through these films is just to focus on the films and not on any pressure behind it otherwise it can be really overwhelming.’

Despite the pressure, Nikki’s co-star Kellan Lutz wanted to stress that the cast, including Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, wanted to give all they could.

He said: ‘I think we’ve really fallen into our roles quite easily now, in this last movie we wanted to give back 150 per cent to these fans who have allowed us to get this far they have so much passion for it. ‘

We also discussed the ending of what’s been one of the biggest film franchises in cinematic history and asked Nikki how she felt about the cast not promoting the film together.

She added: ‘We’ll all still hang out, but we won’t be on one red carpet [together] there’s so many of us 10, 20, 30 I don’t even know anymore.

‘When we all started when we were so young and there’s a sort of connection and understanding between all of us that goes beyond what everyone thinks.’

And we’re sure that connection will stay with them forever.
