Twilight’s Nikki Reed named as godmother to co-star Jackson Rathbone’s son

The actress who brings vampire Rosalie to life on screen will now play godmother to her co-star’s son, Monroe

Twilight’s Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart weren’t the only cast members to get close while filming the franchise, their co-stars Nikki Reed and Jackson Rathbone formed a strong friendship and one that’s set to last a lifetime.

The duo may play adoptive siblings, Jasper and Rosalie, on-screen but once the cameras stopped rolling they still behave like family as the actor and his girlfriend, Sheila Hafsadi, have named Nikki as their son’s godmother.

The honour comes just two months after baby Monroe was born, and the news was shared on the star’s Twitter page this week along with a sweet snap of Nikki holding his son.

He wrote: ‘Lil' Monroe VI with his Godmother @NikkiReed_I_Am Adorable. [sic]’

Nikki responded to the tweet saying: ‘And I miss him already...’

Playing godmother to her co-star’s son and awaiting the release of Twilight Breaking Dawn Part 2 isn’t the only thing on the brunette’s agenda, she’s currently creating her own jewellery line.

The range of gems is named Mattlin Era after her grandmother and is inspired by her friends and family.

The collection will launch in America next month.
