The Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 2 will reportedly have a different ending from the one in the original book.

Twilight author Stephenie Meyer and screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg are said to have dreamt up a new ending while having dinner one night.

Although the details are being kept a closely guarded secret, cast and crew have apparently been telling Entertainment Weekly of their excitment at the new outcome.

Robert Pattinson recalled his surprise at the change, saying: 'When I first read the script, I got to that part and was like, 'What?' And then I had to go back a page. It does it a serious justice.'

Kristen Stewart also added that she is impressed with the final outcome, revealing: 'It's clearly made by someone who really cares. That's why [director] Bill Condon is perfect. Thank God for him.'

Publicity for the final Twilight film has been somewhat tainted by the sensational revelation that Kristen had been cheating on Rob with married father-of-two Rupert Sanders.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Partt 2 will be released on November 12.
