TV BAFTAS: The A-list Experience
Attending the biggest showbiz event of the year, the TV BAFTAS, is just half of the fun, getting reading for it is quite the experience

As I arrive at the former Ministry of Defence HQ on Whitehall, now the handsome Corinthia Hotel, on the morning of the TV BAFTAS, there is a purring allure of excitement.
For some of the industries premier hair, fashion and beauty names have taken up residency in the hotel’s official TV BAFTA Style Suites and guests have already started getting red carpet ready for the biggest showbiz affair in the TV calendar.
Having recently undergone a £330 million refurbishment, the Corinthia offers the ultimate in chic luxury. As I take in the £1million Baccarat chandelier presiding in the lobby, the elegance of the beautiful hotel is enough to get anyone excited for a colouful evening of glitz and glory.
First stop on my BAFTA makeover is the Mark Hill Style Suite where the busy team are already full steam away working their magic.
I am preened and pampered with sprays and polishes from the newly launched ‘Big Night Out’ range, which has everything you need from shampooing right through to styling, and leave thrilled with a messy top knot.
Quaffing champagne and evian, I head to the official BAFTA partner House of Fraser who have set up the most fabulous walk-in-wardrobe and I chose a classic black empire dress with delicate shoulder embellishment, very Great Gatsby.

When it comes to tanning, there really is only one name you can count on for gorgeous skin: St.Tropez. A leading team of St.Tropez experts have been on call over the BAFTA weekend with a menu designed for people of all skin tones. From a light finish to a deep dark tan, they have got it covered.
For the perfect jewels worthy of such a glitzy bash I turned to the official partner of the awards, Carat*. Choosing from the spectacular array of pieces available is tough, but a subtle pair of drop down earrings steal my heart.
I then take my seat in the MAC make-up suite where I am dutifully transformed with a soft complexion, MAC false eyelashes and a bright runway red lip colour that doesn’t give no matter how much evian I rehydrate throughout the night with.
By now the enchanting evening is upon us and we leave the grand Corinthia bound for the Royal Festival Hall. After walking the red carpet, nominees, guests and presenters mingled at the VIP reception before taking their seats for the ceremony.
After the worthy winners have been awarded their masks it’s time for a delicious three course meal before guests, including everyone from Made In Chelsea to Downton to Misfits, floated to the outside terrace soaking in the atmosphere of a wonderfully balmy London evening. The city, and it’s showbiz guests, have never looked so charming.
Thank you to Evian for the ultimate A-List experience.
