Cheryl Cole helped X factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos back from the brink of depression during her sex tape saga.

Tulisa says Cheryl sent her 'a really nice text' during her toughest test, a time when she was so low she slept on the bathroom floor for a week.

X Factor judge Tulisa Contosavlos, 23, was publicly humiliated when an intimate video of her and a former flame was leaked online.

She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: 'I’ve been in touch with Cheryl.

'I actually had a really nice text from her after my ‘hoo-hah’ a couple of weeks ago, offering her support.'

Cheryl Cole, who has had her fair share of dramas thanks to her messy divorce from cheating hubby Ashley Cole and embarrassing sacking from the X Factor USA, has been friends with Tulisa since she replaced her on the judging panel of the UK reality show.

Keen to show there is no hard feelings between the two however, Tulisa added: 'When people say I’m the new ‘nation’s sweetheart’ I’m like, ‘No! That role will always belong to Cheryl!’ 'I’ve become the nation’s little rebel.'
