Dear Trolls, Don’t Even TRY To Body-Shame Serena Williams…
‘What an athlete, what a role model, what a woman'...

Wimbledon’s 2015 female champion was also the winner of a body-shaming row on Twitter this weekend, as she celebrated her victory with Novak Djokovic in a stunning soft pink ballgown. #SerenaSlam, indeed.
When a Twitter troll suggested that Serena was 'built like a man', Harry Potter author and our absolute favourite social commentator, JK Rowling, jumped to the tennis icon’s defence.
‘I'm #TeamSerena today, because you don't meet many super-talented people nicer than she is. Go @serenawilliams!’ JK Rowling tweeted initially, when she met the star before her big match.
Next, when the 33-year-old beat Spain’s Garbine Muguruza 6-4, 6-4 in the women’s final, JK tweeted again; '#SerenaSlam! I love her. What an athlete, what a role model, what a woman!'
But then a troll piped up… ‘Ironic then that the main reason for her success is that she is built like a man.’
JK returned his shot with a winning blow of her own; '”She is built like a man". Yeah, my husband looks just like this in a dress. You're an idiot.' - attaching a sass-tastic picture of Serena working bodycon better than a Kardashian, just for good measure.

Celebrating at the Wimbledon Champions' Dinner last night, Serena proved that she is a powerful, confident and elegant role model, with dedication to her sport like no other.
While Mr @diegtristan8 has carried on trying to defend himself on Twitter (he's since received hundreds of amazing 'uh you're wrong' messages and even tried posting 'picture evidence' of Serena's muscles) the tennis ace has got her eyes firmly back on the game and, naturally, the next trophy to add to her collection.
‘No words can describe the feeling I have right now,’ she wrote on Instagram after her victory, ‘#SerenaSlam Wow this happened?? It happened in my dreams and it’s happening again now! Thanks so much for all the support of my fans, support from #renasarmy my sisters, my parents,@patrickmouratoglou @venuswilliams I love you all so much. We did it... Now you know what I have on my mind now... Let's GOOOOO’
