Topshop’s New Temporary Tattoos Will Help You Love Yourself

Topshop and Central Saint Martins have come up with a genius, new idea for celebrating our bodies.
Body-shamers, be gone!
High street behemoth Topshop have collaborated with Central Saint Martins to create a temporary tattoo line that celebrates the diversity of beauty in a great but totally unexpected way.
Second year jewellery design students at Central Saint Martins were recently asked to create collections with the brief of exploring the words “women and power” and the winner of the competition, Lucie Davis has created one of our favourite temporary tattoo lines ever (beating out the ones we used to collect from crisp packets with ease).
The competition, which this year was judged by Freedom at Topshop’s buying director Vivien Thomason alongside other influential industry insiders including uber blogger Sandra Hagelstam from 5 Inch & Up, is in it’s second year with last years winner, Evie Armstrong-Clarke’s designs going on to be sold online and in the top 20 Topshop stores worldwide.
Zoning in on and highlighting features which most of us have that are normally considered as imperfections, Lucie’s line consists of 4 temporary tattoo gold freckles, spots, moles and scars. Whether you cringe at the first sign of your summer freckles or hate the scar on your knee, which you got from an unfortunate caravanning accident (don’t ask), you can embrace them by giving them a glitter makeover.
While some people have scoffed at the idea - citing the fact that Topshop have chosen models who don’t feature any of the above imperfections and that the tattoos would technically cover the area - we’re all for products and ideas that can help women everywhere embrace the diversity that makes them beautiful and unique.
