Tom Cruises son makes film debut
Tom Cruise’s son, Connor, is set to hit the big screen next week in his first big movie role.
Connor Cruise, 13 – one of two adopted children from Tom’s marriage to Nicole Kidman – will make his big-screen debut in a supporting role in Seven Pounds, in which he will play star of the movie Will Smith’s character as a boy.
Tom has described driving Connor to his Seven Pounds audition as a great father-son moment, but said the audition itself was a little more nerve-wracking. Cruise and Will Smith were in the room when director Gabriele Muccino ordered them to leave.
He said: ‘(Muccino) looked at me and Will, and Will and I were like, “How's he doing?” And the director just said, “Out!” So we were standing in the hall for about half an hour or something, wondering, “What's going on in there? What's happening?”’
