Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes officially divorced

Less than two months after they announced their split, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise's five-year marriage has officially ended

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' five-year marriage officially came to an end this week, just a month and a half after the couple's shock separation.

TomKat entered negotiations almost immediately after Holmes left Cruise 'blindsided' when she filed for divorce, but the couple have now reached a settlement.

TOM CRUISE REUNITES WITH SURI

In legal papers obtained by E! News, a New York judge signed off the final judgement granting Holmes primary custody of their six-year-old daughter, Suri, with Cruise getting extensive visitation rights.

A source close to Cruise tells E! News that the actor is pleased that he can now move on from the divorce.

'Tom is very happy and relieved that he is moving forward,' says the source.

'His priority is being a good father and this settlement will make sure that continues.'

The Hollywood super couple married in a lavish ceremony in Italy in November 2006 after meeting in April 2005.

Holmes and Suri will be living in New York while Cruise will split his time between there and Los Angeles.
