Tinie – who also performed during the nominations night - garnered a whopping four nods, for Best Male, Best Album, Best Single and Best Breakthrough, while Plan B and Ellie Goulding were both listed in two categories.
Despite facing criticism for miming during her X Factor performances, songstress Cheryl Cole won a nomination for British Female Solo Artist.
Mrs C was also nominated for Best Single (although for Parachute, not latest hit Promise This) and will go up against previous X Factor winners Matt Cardle and Alexandra Burke in the category.
Hit group Mumford and Sons look set to win the battle of the bands, after receiving two nominations, while newcomer Jessie J was announced as recipient of the Critics Choice Award.
