The new Creative Director of Puma wore pearls and trainers to sign on the dotted line…
While we’re couldn’t be more excited about Rihanna’s new Creative Director role at Puma - and all the amazing trainers that will no doubt ensue- we’re actually totally obsessing over what she wore to sign on the dotted line…
RiRi was at Puma HQ in Germany yesterday for the big reveal and broke the news herself over social media, Instagramming her top new job with ‘the face you make when you the Creative Director of a sportswear company #PUMA’
The singer gave us some more close-up shots of the look, Instagramming pics of herself in the back of a cab - wearing, of course, an all-white mix of joggers, fur-lined jacket, lace-up strapless bodice, layers of pearls and lashings of red lippy. Oh and brand new Puma kicks in an only RiRi way
Rihanna has signed a multi-year contract with the sportswear brand and will oversee its women's line. Kicking off in January 2015, she will become Puma’s global ambassador for Women’s Training and serve as the Puma Women’s Creative Director, bringing her styling sensibilities and innovation to Puma’s collections.
According to WWD, Rihanna will take a 'hands-on approach' to the fitness line, with her design remit including clothing as well as shoes, and also act as a global ambassador for the brand.
And the images seem to appear the first in the collaboration – a pair of rather amazing white leather Puma creepers which she can be seeing as she signed the contract in Germany…

Speaking about the new partnership with PUMA, Rihanna said: “It’s great to find a brand that celebrates strength and individuality. I couldn't think of a more perfect partner to collaborate with as a creative director. I'm excited for you to see what Puma and I come up with.”
Adam Petrick, Global Brand & Marketing Director for PUMA said, “Rihanna brings joy to audiences around the world but also ignites and awes. PUMA admires her for never waiting for the next big thing, but more so for driving what happens next - in fashion, style, music and soon to be - sports. We can't wait to empower women worldwide with Rihanna - she demonstrates a body confidence and determination that is the exact representation of the PUMA Woman.”
