#LoveWins. Friday was a good day for equal rights...
Even if you've just been dipping into the news lately, you'd be hard-pressed not to feel like the world is a fairly depressing place to be right now. Which is why Friday's landmark decision in the US gave us something to really smile about.
We weren't the only ones: all of our favourite celebrities flocked to Instagram to celebrate the fact that same-sex marriage is now legal across the entire United States.
Following the historic Supreme Court ruling, some of our favourite celebs got out their iphones and instagrammed some pretty lovely posts to mark the occasion, with a hashtag: #LoveWins.
From Elton John and Yoko Ono, to Lady Gaga and Hillary Clinton - Instagram felt like a veritable party over the weekend. By far the most iconic post, however, came from The White House itself, in all the colours of the rainbow.
Here are just a few of the best posts...enjoy...
@hillaryclinton: 'Love won.'
