The Saturday night favourite won the gong for Best Talent Programme, with all the judges, plus lovely winner Joe McElderry getting up on stage to accept the award.
Simon took to the mic to thank viewers, before persuading a reluctant Cheryl to do the same.
‘It's my first time at something like this so I don't really know what to say but thank you to everybody who watches it - thank you so much,' the glowing star said.
And Cheryl and Dannii finally put to bed rumours of rivalry during the show, staying close, laughing, joking and grinning in front of a packed audience at the O2 Arena..

Even Simon got in on the act, patting Dannii's tum as they collected their award.
Other winners include Ant and Dec for Most Popular Entertainment Programme, Gavin and Stacey for Best Comedy, and Eastenders' Lacey Turner for Outstanding Serial Drama performance.
The audience were treated to a performance by X Factor winner Joe McElderry, as well as something quite interesting from terrible twosome, Jedward, who bopped along to Ice Ice Baby and were even joined on sage by rapper Vanilla Ice!
