Marie Claire partied with the Olympic athletes over the weekend, and we're still recovering
We've seen with our own eyes that Olympic athletes like to party with almost as much dedication as they put into their intense training schedules.
On Saturday night we headed out to one of two parties hosted by Club Bud presents TAO/Marquee at the Roundhouse in Camden, and we are still recovering.
The club was rammed with athletes from Team USA, among other nations, and a whole host of celebrities, including Mel B (who was kicking back just a few hours before her big Spice Girls performance at the closing ceremony), Alexandra Burke and Rizzle Kicks.
WHY DON'T I HAVE ABS LIKE JESSICA ENNIS?
Many of the triumphant athletes were still wearing their gold medals round their neck as they danced to the tunes provided by DJ Gareth Emery and sipped on the free drinks in the heaving VIP area.
Having celebrated a brilliant London 2012 Olympics until the early hours of the morning (we dragged our sorry selves home at 6am), we found ourselves on the sofa on Sunday night, in a coma-like state, watching the athletes we had rubbed shoulders with carrying on the party at the closing ceremony. They are clearly made of stronger stuff than us!
