Prince Charles and Camilla are the first royals to release their official Christmas card, and it’s almost as adorable as baby George.

Delivering a welcomed helping of festive cheer, the royal couple have chosen one of their favourite photographs of the year to double as their annual greetings card.

The Duke and Duchess are pictured giggling at Royal Ascot, where they were spotted enjoying the view from the royal box this summer.

‘Wishing you a very Happy Christmas and New Year,’ reads the message printed in red inside the card.

While many may have been hoping for Prince George’s christening photographs to be used at every available opportunity, there's no denying that Charles and Camilla’s snap is rather lovely.

Meanwhile Kate Middleton and Prince William joined the royal family for Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace yesterday, kicking off their first festive season with baby George. Eee!

The Duchess of Cambridge opted for her trusted Giorgio Armani coat, offering a suitably stylish splash of festive red shades.
