Behold the first photo of the Beauty and the Beast cast. Emma Watson, who plays Belle, takes centre stage among her male co-stars: Dan Stevens (the Beast), Luke Evans (Gaston), and Kevin Kline (Belle’s father) in the fun new pic.
Missing from the Insta snap are Emma Thompson (Mrs. Potts), Audra McDonald (the wardrobe), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Plumette), and Ian McKellen, who was just recently confirmed to play the Beast’s loyal butler Cogsworth.
Posted by Josh Gad, who plays LeFou, the cast of the live action adaptation of Disney's Beauty and the Beast looked absolutely charming and genuinely thrilled to be involved in the project. Bar, perhaps Dan Stevens, who looks, erm, pensive?
Gad, best known for voicing Olaf in Frozen, captioned the photo with a nod to one of the movie's classic songs: 'Can't wait for you to be our guest.' Cuteness.
Filming is set to start mid-May in London. Directed by Bill Condon, of Twilight: Breaking Dawn fame, the release date is slated as 17 March 2017.
