Les Misérables star Redmayne reportedly ended secret relationship after Swift failed to be cast in film
Les Misérables star Eddie Redmayne has reportedly called time on his secret romance with Taylor Swift, after she failed to be cast in the film.
Taylor Swift had been a strong contender to star opposite Redmayne as Eponine in the forthcoming Les Misérables big screen adaption, but eventually lost out to Samantha Barks.
The My Week with Marilyn actor, who will play Marius in Tom Hooper's movie adaption of the musical, apparently 'dumped' Swift because he didn't want to commit to a long-distance relationship.
'They hung out in New York City with the movie's execs and Taylor developed feelings for him fast,' a source told Us Weekly.
'Taylor loved the image of a British boyfriend. [But] Eddie's not interested in a long-distance relationship,' the insider added. 'The elements were against them. It's a shame.'

Despite Swift being heavily tipped for the coveted role, 21-year-old Samantha Barks, who came third on the BBC talent show I'd Do Anything in 2008, will join the star studded cast including Anne Hathaway, Hugh Jackman, Russell Crowe and Helena Bonham Carter, when filming begins in March.
